Nathan Hescock

A seasoned instructor/performer who has taught at some of the most prestigious schools in the country, Nathan Hescock founded Rhythm Break Productions in 1999 and set out to fill what he considered voids in the partner dance industry. His goal was to make dance classes accessible and people-oriented, and to create environments where students would feel comfortable and at ease while learning.

Rhythm Break began offering dance instruction as a fitness alternative as well as for team-building and corporate events. It was an instant success. Ballroom and Latin dance classes were given at the corporate headquarters of Goldman Sachs, Citicorp, New York Life, JP Morgan Chase, Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb and American Express. Nathan was also asked to be the Ballroom Dance Instructor for the United Nations, where he has taught for the last 10 years.

In 2002, Nathan created dance class for fitness titled "Ballroom Burn" which has become a corporate success. In 2007, he teamed up with esteemed dancer Bonnie Herbert create the Ballroom Burn video which is being offered at New York Health and Racquet Club.

In 2005, Nathan gave birth to NY Wedding Dance/Rhythm Break Studio, a specialty studio that specializes in the art of wedding dance. Devoted exclusively to private lessons in private settings, the studio was recently featured on Nightline and I-Caught, Brides NY, and New York Magazine. Now in it's third year, NY Wedding Dance is setting the industry standard for wedding dance.
