Amanda has trained in a variety of styles of dance starting at 8 years old including Waltz, Tango Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive, Swing, Mambo, Salsa, Cecchetti Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Lyrical. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Youth Development and Sociology with a minor in Dance from Michigan State University. While at MSU, she studied under Sherrie Barr, and studied choreography, modern dance, dance education and improvisation, and dance history. She was the President of the MSU Ballroom Dance Team for 3 years, as well as Team Captain and Choreographer.
Amanda has been choreographing for Competitive Dance Teams and Dancers since 2012, where her soloists and dancers have won a variety of top place awards at competitions at the regional and national level. She also assisted with the choreography for the Thanksgiving 2014 Lions Halftime Show.
She has performed in 2 Concerts with the Ailey Extension, under the choreography of Sekou McMiller. She currently trains under Top Latin Professionals, Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach and is competing throughout the United States with her Dance Partner in American Rhythm and International Latin. She is a USA Dance National Finalist and the 2019 U.S. National Prechamp Rhythm Champ.
Amanda's passion in life is to make Dance Education accessible to all. Amanda loves helping wedding couples move together and helping them find confidence in their dancing while having fun!
